Youth Development

Youth today are in dire need of guidance (just as many adults). Whereas some youth may have access to all they need to ensure they become positive, productive and prosperous adults, many don't. Clear Vision's goal is to assist in the developmental process of those youth who don't possess all the assets needed to become an empowered and educated adult via our two-track youth development services. Track 1 allows us to work directly with youth teaching and improving their skills in a multiplicity of areas. Track 2 affords us the opportunity to train youth service workers, improving and equipping them with skills to better serve youth.

Clear Vision adheres to the methodology set forth by Search Institute and aims to assist the youth and the adults who serve them. Search Institute's 40 Developmental AssetsŪ Download Adobe Acrobat Reader are concrete, common sense, positive experiences and qualities essential to raising successful young people.

"Youth Development is the ongoing growth process in which all youth are engaged in attempting, to, 1) meet their basic personal and social needs to be safe, cared for, be valued, be useful and be spiritually grounded, and 2) to build skills and competencies that allow them to function and contribute in their daily lives."
- Karen Pitman

"Youth development is a process which prepares young people to meet the challenges of adolescence and adulthood through a coordinated, progressive series of activities and experiences which help them to become socially, morally, emotionally, physically, and cognitively competent."
- National Youth Development Information Center
